Get lost on over 100 acres of beautiful grounds at our Kansas City area bed and breakfast. An escape from the ordinary awaits you and your loved one on a nature-inspired romantic getaway in Kansas.
It starts in our gardens. We have over 16,000 feet of garden space for your enjoyment! The local wildlife is enjoying our gardens as well and we have certification as an Official National Wildlife Habitat. Feel free to stroll through all of our gardens and see what is currently in season. We are happy to sell our produce based on availability. Print a pdf of our walking trails.

Seasonal Splendor
Nestled within the trees and rolling hills that define our grounds, you are sure to find a favorite spot among our colorful perennial gardens.
Spring offers a wonderful view of our beautiful bulbs: tulips, hyacinth, daffodils, allium, and iris. The bright yellow forsythia, eastern red buds, azalea, and lilacs complement the ensemble. Spring also brings the hummingbirds to our area to enjoy all the beautiful flowers!
Summer bursts forth with perennial favorites: coneflowers, roses, lavender, daylilies, hollyhocks, butterfly weed, clematis, Russian sage, and many more.
Fresh Cut Flowers
So that we don’t disturb the appearance of the gardens surrounding the house, we have planted an exclusive cutting garden to provide fresh-cut flowers throughout the lodge for your pleasure. Please inquire about adding a fresh flower bouquet to your reservation.
Fruits and Vegetables
Our enormous vegetable garden provides home-grown produce for your culinary enjoyment. Among our many heirloom varieties, you will find lettuces, spinach, radishes, carrots, onions, garlic, peppers, peas, beans, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, potatoes, asparagus, and more than 30 varieties of tomatoes! Alongside the vegetable garden we have developed the area for fresh juicy berries: strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
Fresh Herbs
Next to the house you will find our herb garden where we cultivate our favorites: basil, thyme, dill, fennel, cilantro, sage, parsley, nasturtium, rosemary, chives, and oregano. We strive to provide you with as much home-grown organic produce as possible.
True Farm to Table
Our on-site chef uses all of this incredible produce to prepare delicious seasonal meals at our Kansas inn for your indulgence. Our motto is “fresh is best.” So when you’re enjoying your romantic “dinner for two,” know that we take pride in the food we serve you.
