All of our accommodations at our Kansas bed and breakfast include multi-course breakfast, free Wi-Fi in the main lodge and luxury rooms, common area with satellite HDTV and DVD player, library of DVDs and reading materials, hairdryers, private label shampoo and soap, luxury linens, and ironing supplies available.

Our three Luxury Rooms also include: refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker with complimentary coffee and teas, DVD/CD, bluetooth speakers, free Wi-Fi and luxurious robes.

A 2-night minimum is required on weekends.

Many of the lodge rooms can accommodate up to 5 people with the adjoining room. Ask us which rooms will work if you have more than 3 guests and want to stay together.

Q:What time is check-in and check-out?
A:Normal check-in time is between the hours of 4pm and 8pm. Please call if you need to make other arrangements. Check-out time is 11am, unless booking a special package that states otherwise.
Q:Is breakfast included in my stay?
A:Yes, every overnight stay includes a full breakfast the following morning.
Q:Do you provide additional meals and do I need to book those in advance?
A:Yes, we provide additional meals and services. Dinner, picnic lunch, chocolate-covered strawberries, and meat/cheese trays are all available for our guests at an additional charge. Please note that we require a minimum of 72-hours advance notice when adding these items to your reservation.
Q:Can you accommodate my specific dietary needs or dislikes?
A:We try very hard to accommodate each individual's dietary needs: Food Allergies, Gluten-free or sensitive, Lactose intolerant, Vegetarian, Vegan, etc. In order for us to accommodate you, PLEASE give us advance notice. We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible.
Q:Do I have to book spa services in advance, or are they open for certain hours?
A:At this time we do require a minimum of 72-hour advance notice on any spa services requested. As our massage therapists are contract employees, the sooner the better.
Q:Does massage pricing include gratuity?
A:No. Our massage therapists appreciate and accept any tips over and above the spa pricing.
Q:Are there hairdryers in the rooms?
A:Yes, hairdryers are provided.
Q:Do you allow pets?
A:No, pets are NOT allowed.
Q:Are there pets on the premises?
A:Yes, there are outside cats which are not allowed inside the buildings.
Q:Is fishing allowed in the ponds?
A:Yes, catch and release fishing is allowed. Please bring your own gear.
Q:Are children allowed?
A:Well-behaved children 10 or older are allowed. Of course, any children are welcome when here for a family event (ie., wedding, family reunion, etc.)
Q:Do you sell alcohol?
A:No. We do not have a liquor license and do not sell alcohol. However, you may bring drinks with you.
Q:Are there televisions in the rooms?
A:While there are not televisions in the rooms, the following rooms do have DVD players for your use: Bali Hai, Wine Country, French Quarter, Tuscan Manor. There is a DVD library on site. Also, we do have a common area in the main lodge in which you can watch television and view movies.
Q:Do you have a pool?
A:Yes, we do have an outdoor pool which is typically open from the end of May through September.
Q:Do you offer military discounts?
A:Yes. We offer a 10% discount off of the mid-week room rate.

Below are the policies for staying at our Kansas bed and breakfast.


A deposit equivalent to one nights' stay is required for all reservations.

Check-in is between 4-8pm. Please make advance arrangements for late check-in.
Check out is by 11am the next day, unless your package states otherwise.

  • Prices are based on double occupancy. A $20 charge will apply for each additional person in room.
  • Prices listed do not include tax, gratuity, or fees, unless otherwise listed.
  • Weekday rates include Monday-Thursday, Weekend rates include Friday-Sunday.
  • Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests.
  • Call for long-term rates.
  • 2-night minimum on weekends.
Gift Certificates

Gift certificates must be presented at check-in along with a valid driver's license. Gift certificates are transferable. Any remaining amount on gift certificates can be used at a later day up to the expiration date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.


Due to Cedar Crest's Lodge's intimate size, any cancellations affect us significantly. Consequently, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. Your deposit will be refunded if we receive notification more than 14 days prior to your arrival. If for any reason you cancel your stay within 14 days, deposits are not refunded. Cancelling less than 48 hours in advance, early departures and no-shows will be responsible for fees equaling the entire stay.

If you are moving your date and it is within the 14 days prior to your stay, there will be a $75 change fee added to your bill.

A 90 day cancellation notice is required on whole house bookings and for some special events.

Cancellation Due to Bad Weather

If the National Weather Service issues a WARNING of severe weather for Pleasanton, KS, the town you listed as your home when booking the reservation, or the direct area in between - and you cancel your travel plans due to the weather conditions within the 24-hours prior to our 4pm check-in time, you will NOT be charged for your cancellation.  Instead, we will transfer your original deposit to a future reservation.

**Warning is defined by the NWS as: “A forecast issued when severe weather has developed, is already occurring and reported, or is detected on radar.  Warnings state a particular hazard or imminent danger, such as … winter storms, heavy snows, etc.”


Absolutely no smoking in any of the buildings. There are outdoor urns available for smoking outside.
